Anyone who is actually SUPPORTING Blake? 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️At this point Ryan snd Blake are just laughable and not in a good way. They are mutimllionares using this movie as a gimmick to promote their side projects so they can make even more money. A hair line, an alcohol line, a credit card line, and on and on. I feel in retrospect that Ryan was a nice, humble guy who married this pretentious, narcissist Karen and it rubbed off on him.

It was an undercut move and a red carpet snide remark disguised what she could not go and tell the public her displeasure at Justin, her Director. It’s petty, unkind and caddy of her. There was no praise or kudos for a man who probably had a big part in choosing her and the rest of the cast for this movie. I googled how many Directors were both Director and main character for a movie (must have saved money if they had a low start up budget for the movie). Found a few: Danny Devito - Throw Mamma Off The Train and a second movie, The War Of The Roses. There are more movies that Danny directed and starred. Warren Beatty - Dick Tracy, Heaven Can Wait, Bulworth and Reds Kevin Costner - Dances With Wolves, The Postman and Open Range Barbara Streisand - Yentyl, The Prince of Tides, The Mirror Has Two Faces Mel Gibson - The Man Without a Face, Braveheart Sylvester Stallone - Rocky, Rambo (sequels), First Blood, The Expandables Ben Affleck - Good Wll Huntington, The Town, Argo Joel Edgerton - The Gift, Boy Erased John Krasinski - Brief Interviews With Hideous Men, The Hollars , A Quiet Place and sequel Clint Eastwood - a whole boat of them.. too many to list The fact that playing a main character and being the Director is something should not reflect the Directors ability do both. But when ppl are not happy with a person they will jab where it hurts more. It’s High School mean girl stuff. It’s Office bullying stuff and very off putting for any adult.

Justin didn’t shame her post partum body. He had to lift her up so her asked his trainer how much she weighed and how he could lift her up without hurting her back. Blake also literally said that there was an intimacy coordinator on set AND she intimacy coordinates some of the scenes, so saying the kiss was too long is just weird because that would be the coordinator’s fault. Everything we know about Justin that’s FACTUAL makes him seem much more invested in the serious message of this movie than anyone on that set. So maybe that’s why he made them u comfortable : cause they wanted their cutesy romcom, while he kept dragging it on the DV side. But they’re the ones that are weird and tone deaf, not him.

I honestly don’t think Justin is an asshole we have a ridiculous amount of proof that he isn’t. But he did obviously know that Blake was going after him and so his agent (not him) hired a PR firm to manage shit. So they are digging things up on her because she keeps attacking him. DV victims like myself have been coming out and calling Blake out because Justin made it very clear he wanted to support survivors where as Blake likes to claim that our trauma doesn’t define us which is BS. I think it’s a bit ridiculous to claim they are alike.

what blake means by justin making her uncomfortable about her body is that he had to pick her up in a scene so he went to a doctor or someone related to that profession on set asking how he could do it without hurting his back because he has back problems, blake found out about this and got offended since she had just given birth to her 4th kid. justin never said anything to blake. he was never an asshole (that we know of) about her weight. he literally wanted to protect his back. i think that's really not something you can fault the guy for. if blake is insecure about her weight that's absolutely okay and understandable (because women are shamed that they gain weight after childbirth) but justin didn't have any part in any of this.

While there may be faults on both sides and we will probably never now the whole truth, I still think that it is hard to compare the TMZ ”source” based stories about Justin with an actual video evidence of Blakes actions and words and then say they are equally as bad. Regardless of the quality of the book or the movie, domestic violence is an important issue to talk about in our modern culture and behaving like Blake is doing now is hard to digest.

the whole "i always wanted a female gaze and i never wanted to put myself into it" rubs me the wrong way. like i get what he meant and i generally agree with the sentiment but if your producer is insisting on inappropriate song choices and bringing her own clothes that aren't reflective of the character at all and having another cut of the movie without any input from the director to then screen it months before the movie's actual release date like. bruh assert your role a bit for the good of the project. cause now it's no longer about domestic violence it's about someone trying to turn it into her own personal era's tour and product launch

Oscar nod is a joke. There are so many actors/actresses didnt get nominated for outstanding performances. Out of top of my head I am thinking Toni Collete in Hereditary, Charlize Theron in Fury Road, Jake Gylenhall in Nightcrawler and Nocturnal animals, Amy Adams for a couple of movies like Arrival, Nocturnal animals, etc and etc. Blake Lively doesnt have anything interesting going on in It ends with us.
